Sarina Peterson, also known as “Petunia” on the Amoeba Sisters YouTube channel, graduated with a degree in economics and worked in education program evaluation for four years before veering off course to pursue her true calling: illustrating cartoon amoebas. She is a self-taught artist who eventually realized that there were other art programs available besides MS Paint.Although she never considered herself a science enthusiast, Sarina loves breaking down complicated science concepts with quirky cartoons in a way her younger self would have appreciated.
