The Experiment is an independent publisher founded in 2008 and committed to publishing a wide range of nonfiction as well as select children’s storybooks with a teaching mission. We’ve developed a +450-title-strong list encompassing a wide range of practical and narrative nonfiction, including books on the sciences, nature, history, and current affairs; healthful eating; giftable, illustrated reference; pregnancy & parenting; lifestyle, health & wellness; self-help, psychology & relationships; and creativity (art, coloring & puzzle books). Our books are sold and distributed in the US by W. W. Norton & Company and in Canada sold by the Canadian Manda Group and distributed by the University of Toronto Press Distribution.

The Experiment is comprised of a collegial, creative, book-loving, and extremely hardworking crew located near Gramercy and Madison Square Parks in Manhattan.
